Social Value
We're dedicated to social value best practice within the construction sector and built environment.
Our commitment
Alongside our parent organisation, SCAPE, our ethos of collaboration is demonstrated in our commitment to working in partnership with industry-leading organisations to drive change.

As a member of Waste Wise Kids, we’re proud to support two of the most important topics in society today: the education of children and environmental best practice.

Waste Wise Kids
Waste Wise Kids is a nonprofit organisation and community engagement initiative focused on supporting schools in teaching children about the importance of recycling and sustainability.

Aimed at school children aged from four to 12 years old, they learn about the different waste types and the waste hierarchy, what happens to waste after it is disposed of, and to think about reducing, reusing, repurposing and recycling waste.

Waste Wise Kids is supporting the UK Government’s vision to be the world leading sector in sustainability and climate change by 2030. It aligns with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 4: To ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all and Goal 13: Climate Action; to improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning.

Developed with the support of primary school leaders and Encore Environment’s waste management experts, all resources are provided to schools to roll out within classrooms and across year groups.
